A Most Memorable Week!

What a difference a year makes, huh?
This has been a great week….the party today was pretty incredible for me.  I was a little  emotional, maybe…..It’s just hard to believe that time is just flying by.  We had a few friends and some family over.  My dad came….I really wanted Mom here too…
I had the priviledge to travel to Salisbury, NC last Sunday night to sing at one of my favorite places.  Canaan Baptist Church always makes me feel at home..Thanks to Pastor Bruce Graham for letting me come and share my music.  I also got to hear some awesome preaching from Evangelist Tom Gilliam.  He preached the word!
On Thursday night, The Men of Praise got to sing at a fundraiser event for the Huntington Hills Church of God in Hickory, NC.  What a time we had!  They LOVED the old songs and were just an incredible audience.  We are looking forward to going back in the near future.
It was also a special night because it was the debut appearance of our new bass singer, Danny Brown.  Yes,  we are a quartet now.  I have to admit though,  I wasn’t looking forward to another person in the group…I was content with what we were doing…..BUT….Danny has blown me away.  Not only does he sing like a song bird, he has the most humble spirit of anyone I have ever met.   I can’t wait for you guys to meet him!
This coming week,  The group is having pictures made with our favorite photographer, Chris Garner…can’t wait for you to see them….We are going to do some shots around a stage grand at one of the auditoriums in town.  I think they are going to turn out great.
Also, Saturday, 4-19-08,  we are going to sing at the Grandview Baptist Church in Morganton to help raise money for a gospel radio station that lost everything to a devastating fire.  If you live anywhere close, please come or make a donation to help get them going again.
Ok, it’s 11:20….time to go to bed.  I love all of you….have a great Sunday and a great work week.
Sheltered,
Curt
