about
Have you ever met someone for the first time…and felt like you have known them for a lifetime? If not, here’s your first….
Curt Davis has traveled and sung for most of his life. But, more than his passion for music is his passion for people. From the first moment that Curt steps on stage, you can tell he loves his music, but in a conversation…you can find a friend. He’s traveled with the award winning Perry’s and spent 7 years with a mixed trio, The Whisnants. He’s an incredible keyboard player and currently serves as the minister of music at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church in Marion, NC.
Curt is married to his beautiful wife Carol and they have a daughter, Ella Grace. Ella was born April 10, 2007.
Curt is fulfilling a lifelong dream with his first solo CD with, Sheltered. Talented songwriters such as Rodney Griffin, Greg Day and Jim Brady, were all writers that Curt respected and loved…and they were the first to get a call when Curt found out that he would be heading into the studio. Sheltered is a compilation of songs that tell the story of life….and one song in particular is the whole reason that Curt decided to head into the studio….
Comfort Me. This song was first heard in 2004 through a demo cassette from some writers in Nashville, TN. Through several house moves and car trades, the CD had been lost. In June 2007, a good friend of the Davis family lost their unborn son and Curt was asked to sing at the graveside service. Curt says, “I was looking for just the right song and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. We knew where this precious child was….He was with Jesus. It was those left behind who needed help. We needed comfort. I wanted a song that would minister to the family and those who would be apart of this sad day. I looked through all my CD’s at least three times and on the third pass, I happened to open up the case and inside that case was the CD I thought I had lost and I knew exactly what song was on it. The song spoke to me and I knew it could help the family. Soon after, God opened up the door for me to record and of course, Comfort Me is on there.”
If you haven’t done so already, please take an opportunity to hear Curt sing and hear his story. You will be blessed by his music, testimony and his willingness to serve others.
