We are officially into our first full day of fall and it is 90 degrees
here in Marion, NC. I love summer for the vacations, trips to the mountains and picnics….but I do not like the heat. I personally love the cool fall temps and winter. Carol and I used to live in Boone, NC and I loved the “cold” temps that we had there and the snow too!
Speaking of Boone, we got a call today from a friend of ours that a guy that we used to go to church with, Todd Critcher, was killed in an auto accident over the weekend. He was 39 years old and they are saying that he had a massive heart attack and that is what caused the accident. We are saddened by this loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the Critcher family.
My Life: Part 1
If I may, let me start catching you up on my life over the past few years. I came off the road August 2003 not knowing what I was going to do with my life. All I have ever done is sing and I thought that would be all that I would ever do. But thankfully, God had other plans. I took about 2 months thinking about my life and what it was that God wanted me to do. I started thinking about how much I enjoyed working with numbers and “math” stuff and I started pursuing a banking career. Well, it took 1 week and I found the perfect job. I started out as a part time employee and 4 years later I am a supervisor here at a local credit union. It’s the first time in 10 years that I’ve had insurance and a retirement plan! I am now working toward a permanent retirement on a cruise ship! 
It wasn’t long after that, I picked up a music job…but I’ll save those details for later!
Please put my mom in your prayers, she is suffering from dementia/alzheimer’s and has breast cancer. She is not doing well at all and hospice has been called in. She is a wonderful lady and has been a great mom…I love her so much! Her name is Minnie! She is just as sweet as her name sounds! I know that God has her life in His hands….I just have to trust Him!
