No, REALLY! Someone e-mailed and asked if everything was ok, they had not seen a blog in a while…..well, here goes!
The first of the month was great….We had the CD release party, my first single was getting some airplay….all was well! By the way, Walking the Way is getting some really great response from the radio stations.
Then, Ella got sick. Bless her heart, she picked up a viral throat infection. She couldn’t eat hardly at all. She has lost about 2 pounds. Just as she was getting over her infection, she started teething. Just as that was to settle down, she got an ear infection. And then, she got this huge blister on her sucking thumb. The doctor gave her medicine for all of this but the problem was, with the medicine for her thumb and the bandaid to cover, she could not put her self to sleep with out the thumb! whew! Did you catch all that? A lot of you know what it’s like to have a sick child that is not able to communicate with you. It is very much a guessing game. On a brighter note, she is really starting to jabber a lot, clapping her hands, and saying DaDA! I love that! She is hooked on Blue’s Clue’s and Disney Playhouse!
We got her most recent pictures back…She looked adorable…Carol and I are so proud of her! Check out the picture!
This weekend, we are off to Nashville to accept the award for personality of the year for their radio station. It should prove to be great fun and I hope to have time to eat at one my favorite places, PF Changs. MMMMM!
Saturday morning before we leave, I have the priviledge of singing at the First UMC Women’s breakfast in Morganton. I am really looking forward to that.
