My thoughts
It is the Wednesday after Thanksgiving and I can say that I am overwhelmed. There is just toooooo much going on at one time! I believe that I get busier and busier with every year!
A week ago yesterday, we buried my mother. That was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. Boy, but isn’t she better off than we are. She doesn’t forget or hurt anymore.
We started a new tradition around my house. We had our family here this year for Thanksgiving. I cooked a turkey(which was excellent I must say) and I made a red velvet cake in my Mother’s honor. She always made one during the Holiday’s and I thought she would be proud if I did! Mine was not as good as hers though.
Someone told me last week that If I didn’t take time to grieve for my mother, it would hit me like a mack truck. It did on Monday. I had to sing at a funeral at the same funeral home where my Mother was. The closer I got to the funeral home, the sicker I got. I guess going back to that funeral home was to close to my Mother’s death. I made it through!
Christmas is in full swing around my house. We have Christmas boxes with decorations everywhere. Carol is even getting in to it this year. Usually she sits back and watches. This year she is putting in her thoughts about decorating….Our house is looking good. My goal again this year is to have a tree in every room. I am working hard! I will post pictures when it’s all done!

Oh, the CD should be back by December 15…the graphics folks have the stuff now….WOOOHOOO! can’t wait!
